ForthepurposeofapplyingforanypositionwithBankofChina(HongKong)Limited("BOCHK")online,youmustreadcarefullyandacknowledgethefollowingtermsandconditions.Ifyoudonotagreetoanyofthefollowingtermsandconditions,pleaseDONOTsubmitanyofyourpersonaldatatous.

1.CollectionofPersonalData

Yourdataarecollectedtoassessthesuitabilityofyourjobapplication.BOCHKmaycollectyourbasicpersonaldataincludingyourname,e-mailaddress,contactphonenumber,educationbackground,andcurriculumvitae.FailuretosupplysuchdatamayresultinBOCHKbeingunabletoprocessyouremploymentapplication.

2.PurposeforcollectionofPersonalData

Yourpersonaldataarecollectedthroughthiswebsiteforthepurposeof:

processingyouremploymentapplication;

determiningandreviewingsalaries,bonusesandotherbenefits;

conductingreferencecheckwithyourpreviousemployers;

considerationforpromotion,transferorsecondment;

monitoringcompliancewithinternalrulesofBOCHK;and

anyotherpurposesdirectlyorindirectlyrelatingtothecompliancebyBOCHKofanyemploymentorstatutoryobligations

3.UseofPersonalData

YourpersonaldataheldbyBOCHKwillbekeptconfidentialbutBOCHKmayprovideanddisclosesuchdatatothefollowingpartiesforthepurposessetoutinthepreviousparagraph:

theholdingcompany,thesubsidiariesoraffiliatesofBOCHK,whereverlocated;

anygovernmentdepartmentsorjudicialorregulatoryauthoritiesoftheHongKongSARifsorequiredbyanyoftheordinances,orrules;

anyagent,contractor,professionaladviserorthirdpartyserviceproviderwhoprovidesadministrative,dataprocessing,insurance,providentfund,medicalservices,legalservicesorotherservicestoBOCHKinconnectionwiththeoperationofitsbusinessandhasundertakentokeepsuchdataconfidential,whereverlocated;

personswhohaveyourprescribedconsentforthedisclosureinaccordancewithS.2(3)oftheOrdinance;and

anyactualorproposedpurchaserofthebusinessofBOCHK.

YouherebyspecificallyconsenttoBOCHKtransferringourpersonaldatatoaplaceoutsideHongKongincaseanyoftheabovepersonsorcompaniesislocatedoutsideHongKong.

4.RetentionPolicyofPersonalData

ForthepurposeoffuturerecruitmentexerciseofBOCHKoritsholdingcompany,subsidiariesoraffiliatesandinthecaseofunsuccessfulapplication,BOCHKwillretainyourpersonaldatacollectedinthisapplicationforaperiodofupto12months(countingfromthedateofthelatterofrejectionissuedbyBOCHK).Youmay,however,requireBOCHKtodestroyallyourpersonaldatacollectedinthisapplicationshouldyoudisagreewiththeuseforthispurpose.Nevertheless,BOCHKmayretainyourpersonaldataforalongerperiodifthereisasubsistingreasonthatobligesBOCHKtodoso,orifitisnecessaryforBOCHKtofulfillitscontractual,legalorregulatoryobligations.

5.TheRightofAccessandCorrection

Youhavetheright:

tocheckwhetherBOCHKholdsdataaboutyouandhaveaccesstosuchdata;

torequireBOCHKtocorrectanydatarelatingtoyouwhichisinaccurate;and

toascertainBOCHK'spoliciesandpracticesinrelationtodataandtobeinformedofthekindofpersonaldatarelatingtoyouheldbyBOCHK.

BOCHKhastherighttochargeyoureasonablefeesforprocessingofanyofyourdataaccessrequest.YoumaymakeyourrequestforaccesstodataorcorrectionofdataorforinformationregardingpoliciesandkindsofpersonaldataheldbyBOCHKrelatingtoyouto:
